First Impressions of the Oppo F17 Pro 2021

Recent Oppo phones have placed a strong emphasis on design, particularly slimness and lightness. This was previously demonstrated with the Reno 4 Pro smartphone (Review), and it is now being demonstrated once more with the company's brand new F17 series in oppo. Today, we'll take a first look at the Oppo F17 Pro handset, the higher-end model in the Oppo F17 line, which also includes the Oppo F17 phone.

First Impressions of the Oppo F17 Pro 2021

With a thickness of only 7.48mm, Oppo boasts that the F17 Pro smartphone is the slimmest oppo f17 in its class. There are six cameras on board new, as well as 30W rapid charging. I've had the smartphone for a few days now, and here are my initial thoughts.

The usual set of accessories are included in the box: a silicone case, a USB cord, a headset, and a 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 charger is really good. Oppo handed me the F17 Pro phone in Magic Blue, which I think looks very fantastic. This is described as a "shiny matte" finish, which is precisely what it seems to be oppo. Purple hints may also be seen on the oppo borders of the rear panel at certain angles. The coating is resistant to fingerprints, which is a really good feature. Matte Black and Metallic White trims are also available for the oppo smartphone.

Because of its light weight of only 164g, the Oppo F17 Pro phone has been a joy to use thus far. Without generating any unsightly bumps, the plastic frame and rear panel fit in perfectly of this. It boasts a lofty 20:9 aspect ratio and a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3+ an really good. Unfortunately, the refresh rate is just 60Hz, not 90Hz or even 120Hz but it's not bad. There's also no HDR support, which is a disappointment on oppo phone. On the plus side, the display has really nice color reproduction and all material appears great on it. There's also a fingerprint sensor built into the touchscreen, which works as anticipated to be oppo. The dual hole-punch cutout for the two selfie cameras is really small, which I appreciate but is very nice.

While I have yet to see how the Oppo F17 Pro phone handles demanding games, overall this performance has been excellent. The MediaTek Helio P95 SoC is used in this oppo smartphone, which we first saw in the Reno 3 Pro phone (Review) earlier this year. Only 8GB of RAM and 128GB space of storage are available in India for the F17 Pro. The battery capacity is 4,000mAh is long life, which is enough. However, after we conclude the whole study, we'll know for sure how well it holds up in real-world use on this. The F17 Pro, like the Reno 4 Pro, runs ColorOS 7.2, which is based on Android 10 latest version.

One of the Oppo F17 Pro phone's main selling features is its camera. Let's start with the selfie cameras, which consist of a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor is realy nice. The rear cameras use an exposed-lens configuration similar to the Reno 4 Pro smartphone, although they are arranged in a square rather than a vertical strip. A 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel portrait camera, and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera are included on this. Surprisingly, this phone lacks a macro camera or any other means of taking macro photos is really good. Given that most dedicated macro cameras we've seen so far haven't been especially remarkable, I don't believe it's a significant loss on this.

It's just been a few days since I started using the Oppo F17 Pro, but I'm like the physical design so far an it's look very wall. Despite its small size, Oppo has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack is good. It's not often that we see cellphones that are this thin and light, so when something like this comes around, it's a welcome to change on this. The big question is whether Oppo phone has done enough to make it worthwhile to purchase.

The Oppo F17 Pro costs Rs. is only on 22,990 and competes with the Redmi K20 phone in this category (Review). Starting this month, the 64GB model of the OnePlus Nord (Review) should be available for Rs. only 24,999.

Over the next several days, I'll be testing the cameras and seeing how the Oppo F17 Pro smartphone performs in games and other demanding activities, so stay tuned for the complete on this phone review.
